Nancy's Rise
Nancy is a trailblazer. In 2014, with nearly a decade of career experience at Goldman Sachs, she set out to build her own path to a purpose-driven life. Nancy founded Briogeo, the clean, high-performance hair care line that pioneered the “skinification” of hair. At the age of 29, she became the then-youngest Black woman to launch a product line at Sephora. In less than 10 years after launch, she sold Briogeo to The Wella Company. Nancy is one of the few Black CEOs and businesswomen who have successfully launched & scaled a global business, raised over $20M of Private Equity Funding, and who has sold her company in a strategic M&A process – all before the age of 40.
Today, Nancy is dedicated to using her experience and expertise to empower other female founders through active investment across industries. She has been recognized by publications including Forbes, WWD, NPR, Allure, and Vogue – and she was named one of Entrepreneur’s 100 Women of Impact and one of Inc.’s Female Founders 100. In addition to continuing to lead Briogeo as CEO, Nancy serves on the boards of Cosmetic Executive Women and Room to Grow.
